  • Biography

    Ivian was raised where the civilized world plunges into wilderness. For most of his adult life he worked as a garrison sword defending Taraga's northern border, but after a decade he was taken on as the warden of Lord Oberlan Isentide, thanks to the forbidden magic they share. He has the bearing of a low-born mercenary, keeping his eyes low and his shoulders hunched.

    Ivian is a broad-shouldered man with a mane of dirty blonde hair that he usually leaves loose, though sometimes it can be seen braided or tied back in a tail or topknot. His eyes are faded green, sunken and hooded with deep shadows beneath them. A dark, ugly scar stretches from under his left eye and across his lips to his chin, forming a permanent sneer. Something in his past mangled his arms and hands to the point of palsy, and some of his fingernails never grew back.

    Ivian is by nature a subservient man. He keeps his head bowed and his eyes low most of the time, especially around those he deems to be higher in rank or social status. Despite this, he can be very stubborn when it comes to injuries, and will often overdo himself when he should be resting. He's protective of those he has deemed to be under his shield, though his utmost loyalty is reserved for precious few. For these people he'll fight until every last drop of blood has left his body. Somewhat weak-willed at times, with the right words a skilled manipulator can wrap him around their finger.
